Developmental Milestones
Watch your child grow, step by step
Every child develops at their own pace, but there are skills most children pick up around the same ages — how they play, learn, speak, act, and move. These free tools help you follow along and know when to ask questions.

CDC milestone checklists — Learn the Signs. Act Early.
The CDC's free checklists show what most children do by each age, from 2 months to 5 years. Browse online, print a checklist in English or Spanish, or download the free Milestone Tracker app — no sign-up needed.

ASQ — Ages & Stages Questionnaires
The ASQ is the questionnaire many local programs, including Healthy Families and preschools, use to check how a child is developing between birth and age 6. Parents answer simple, friendly questions about everyday skills — learn what to expect before your child's next screening.

Milestones from the American Academy of Pediatrics

Not sure where to start? That's okay.
Search the directory for what you need, or talk with a real person at Indiana 211. They will listen to your situation and point you to the right local program — free and confidential, any hour of the day.
